| CNU is a San Francisco-based non-profit organization that was founded in 1993. The group works with architects, developers, planners and others involved in the creation of cities and towns, teaching them how to implement the principles of the New Urbanism. These principles include coherent regional planning, walkable neighborhoods and attractive, accommodating civic spaces. CNU has over 2,000 members throughout the United States and around the world. CNU sponsors annual conferences, known as Congresses, for the sharing and discussion of the best practices in New Urbanism. |

Both partners of the Hartland Group have worked closely with Enterprise on housing and economic development projects for years. |

This Florida panhandle development showed the world that there is a modern alternative to sprawl development and is considered by many to represent the birth of the New Urbanist development movement. the Greyston Foundation. Over the last 20 years Greyston has
become one of the country’s leading social entrepreneurship
organizations, and played a major role in the stabilization
and revitalization of Yonkers, New York. |

The bakery, Greyston's first initiative, was created to offer
residents of Southwest Yonkers an opportunity to hold a real job
regardless of their employment history. The Greyston Bakery
produces brownie chips for Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Haagen Dazs, as well as fine desserts sold by gourmet restaurants, hotels and specialty stores. A new state-of-the-art facility, designed by Maya Lin, the acclaimed designer of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, opened in 2004. The building was winner of the American Institute of Architects 2004 award as one of the top 10 green projects in the country.
