237 North Ave. is currently an underutilized warehouse that sits on an exciting property within walking distance of Burlington’s waterfront and downtown. The Hartland Group has proposed a mixed-use development plan.

In partnership with the Richford Health Center and Housing Vermont, the Hartland Group is redeveloping the historic Sweat-Comings mill, located on the Mississquoi River in the heart of the Village of Richford, Vermont. When complete, the building will be home to a ground-floor supermarket and pharmacy, new offices and clinics for the Richford Health Center on the second floor, and third-floor affordable housing apartments with views of the river and surrounding mountains. The design by Scott and Partners Architects of Essex, VT preserves the historic building while adapting it for modern uses. Construction is expected to begin in the summer of 2006.

On town meeting day in 2003, the citizens of Hanover, NH voted overwhelmingly to donate a 25-acre piece of land known as the Gile Tract for the purposes of building a mixed-income housing community. The land is located just outside downtown Hanover, abutting the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The Hartland Group is working in partnership with Twin Pines Housing Trust to develop 120 homes on the site. The permitting process is underway and the Hanover Planning Board hearings have begun.

The Hartland Group is the development consultant for Friedman Court, a 2-phase, approximately 90-unit affordable rental project on Old Suncook Road in Concord, NH owned by the Concord Area Trust for Community Housing (CATCH). The initial 54-unit phase of the project began construction in May, 2006, with the second phase projected to commence in the spring/summer of 2007.
